Where Social Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Meet


Mark is an Associate with the New York City Investment Fund, a $110mm early stage VC founded by Henry Kravis in 1996. NYCIF is a private fund with the civic mission of strengthening and diversifying NYC’s economy. Mark focuses on investments in cleantech and IT companies and co-manages the FinTech Innovation Lab.

Prior to NYCIF, Mark was an investment banking analyst with The Blackstone Group in New York. He graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a BS in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Management.

His startup-related experience includes roles with PrayWith.Me, Wikinvest.com, CauseVox.com, TapInko.com, and the Wharton Business Plan Competition.

Mark is a StartingBloc Fellow (NY ’10) and an Eagle Scout. He is also an avid photographer on the weekends and was formerly a Senior Photographer for The Daily Pennsylvanian. He loves sweet tea, Auburn football, and vintage watches.
